Ows off on one...

...well actually I'm off to work but I'll be in Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela for a few weeks. I hope to be able to post during the weekends away...maybe about adventures that I MAY have...;-)

"Off on one" should, I suppose, refer to a binge but I did that yesterday - all 3 rugby games and then the Barcelona footy...I was a little the worse for wear this morning. Anyway, re the rugby, did you see it?

"Off on one" could also mean a whinge...I wonder does anyone else think it strange that the VERY dodgy video-ref decision of not allowing the clear try for Wales, which would have put then 10 points clear; instead the French went and scored a very good try themselves to take the lead...and went on to win the whole tournament, I hate it when games turn on poor refereeing but in this case it was the video-ref...did anyone else thing it strange that throughout the whole afternoon they never once showed a replay of it to discuss the decision - trying to avoid controversy? They say Michalak grounded the ball; he did no such thing, not even close! Humph...Balls! Rugby balls...

Now, whinging Englishmen is a cliche, isn't it?...but then we had the England v Ireland game that COULD have been a tournament decider...but with the dodgy try decisions in that game (I shall say NO MORE...grrrrr)...it was just as well it wasn't but they did win the triple crown - (image below)..anyway...whinge over, back to the binge; we were about 50 English, French, Irish, Welsh, Scots but mainly Spanish and even a few Portuguese...and we had a wail of a time, all good natured; it's only now I'm fully sober that I feel whingy!...so the obvious cure would be...;-)
